Mike O’Boyle is Director of Electricity Policy for Energy Innovation, where he also directs America’s Power Plan. Mike works with a variety of stakeholders to uncover policy and technology solutions for a clean, reliable, and affordable U.S. electricity system. Mike is a frequent author and leads the editing for America’s Power Plan’s Trending Topics pieces, a monthly newsletter that weighs in on the most pertinent power sector issues today. He has also authored reports covering a wide range of power sector topics, including distributed energy resources, performance-based regulation, valuation metrics for utility compensation metrics, and more. Before joining Energy Innovation, Mike graduated cum laude from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he focused on energy and international law. He also received a B.A from Vanderbilt University in Philosophy and Asian Studies, with a minor in Economics.
