Eddie Burgess began his career working on urban environmental policy issues at Environmental Defense Fund in New York City. He first came to Arizona in 2009 to pursue graduate studies at ASU’s School of Sustainability where he completed his M.S. degree. He also obtained an M.S. in Solar Energy Engineering and Commercialization. During that time he also developed and co-instructed a course on Urban Environmental Policy and acted as Chair of the ASU Energy Club.
Eddie has advised and collaborated with a variety of businesses, and governmental and non-governmental institutions in both New York and Phoenix including the City of Phoenix, Maricopa County, the City of Mesa, the Mayor’s Office of New York City, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Arizona Public Service, and the Regional Plan Association. Eddie obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Princeton University.
